My desk was never meant to hold much. It’s narrow, shallow, and sits in a small bedroom room where every surface already has a job. Adding an extra monitor meant something else had to give, but I didn’t want to solve that by making the space feel more crowded or permanent. I also need a stand to on which to place the monitor.

Desk Layout
So the desk was small, and the stand needed to leave enough room to work comfortably while still offering some storage. I wanted space for pens, a hub, and a separate keyboard without the surface feeling crowded. Ideally, there would also be room to rest my laptop. That meant being clear about what mattered and what didn’t. The stand I ended up with provides enough under-storage for a notebook, a place to rest my phone, and sits high enough to slide a small container underneath to keep pens out of the way. One side of the stand can be shortened, which I use to create space for my laptop.
The stand supports the monitor and fits the desk’s size and limitations while still leaving space to work and store a few essentials.

The monitor stand
The stand is made from sturdy materials and has a clean, modern look, with subtle RGB lighting if you like the gaming look. It connects via USB and includes a front-facing USB port, which I use mainly for charging a phone or small devices.
Storage is built in, there are two shallow drawers, one for small items like notepaper or flash drives, and a dedicated slot that works well as a phone holder. The stand sits high and wide enough to slide a standard keyboard underneath. In my setup, I use the space to keep a compact desk organiser out of sight.
It does what a monitor stand should do — and looks good doing it.
